Tekla Corporation has offered Tekla BIMsight, a software application, on Graphisoft’s MyArchiCAD.com website. The two European companies have long collaborated on BIM technologies and inter-application workings. Since 2010 they have cooperated on promoting openBIM.
Graphisoft now offers Tekla BIMsight for its professional and educational users for BIM model coordination. The software is a free download on MyArchiCAD.com
Built on Tekla’s proven modeling technology, BIMsight enables architects and engineers and others to coordinate BIM models and share data. “It is crucial for architects and structural engineers to be able to coordinate and construct with contractors, seamlessly,” said Laura Virros, director of the Project Delivery segment at Tekla. “We are happy to share a common belief in open BIM collaboration with Graphisoft, and we are delighted to have them along as a Tekla BIMsight distributor.”
